Linking your bank account to SteadyPay

SteadyPay requires a secure and read-only connection to your bank. Select your bank below to see what information you'll need ready when SteadyPay asks you to link to your bank.

Some of the banks we support


Bank of Ireland

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Bank of Ireland account:

  1. Your User ID for 365 Online
  2. Your date of birth
  3. Your contact phone number
  4. Your 6-digit PIN used for 365 Online

If you’ve forgotten any of the above, please follow the Bank of Ireland’s instructions.


Barclays

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Barclays account:

  1. Your surname
  2. Your online banking membership number
  3. Your passcode
  4. Your memorable word

Please use the passcode and the memorable word as these provide a more stable link to SteadyPay than your PINsentry.

First Trust

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your First Trust account:

  1. Your PAC (Personal Access Code)
  2. Your online banking registration number
  3. Your home phone number (which you registered with First Trust)
  4. Your work phone number (which you registered with First Trust)

Halifax

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Halifax account:

  1. Your Username for online banking
  2. Your password
  3. Your memorable information

HSBC

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your HSBC account:

  1. Your username - this is either your IB number or the unique username you created to login to online banking
  2. Your memorable answer - this what you enter when logging to online banking without a secure key
  3. Your password

Lloyds

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Lloyds account:

  1. Your User ID for internet banking
  2. Your password
  3. Your memorable information

Nationwide

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Nationwide account:

  1. Your customer number (you use to login to online banking)
  2. Your card reader or your memorable data (if you use memorable data, you will need to enter one of the three items you’ve set up).
  3. Your passnumber

Natwest

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Natwest account:

  1. Your customer number - this is your date of birth followed by a unique 4-digit number. (The format for date of birth is DDMMYY, so for example if you were born on 5 February 1998, the format would be 050298.)
  2. Your security number for online banking - this may be different to the PIN number you use at ATM / cash machines
  3. Your password

RBS

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your RBS account:

  1. Your customer number
  2. Your security number for online banking (this may be different to the PIN number you use at ATM / cash machines)
  3. Your password

Santander

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Santander account:

  1. Your Personal ID (you use to login to online banking)
  2. Your security number
  3. Your memorable answer

Smilebank

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Smilebank account:

  1. Your Username for online banking
  2. Your password
  3. Your security code

Tesco Bank

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Tesco Bank account:

  1. Your Username for online banking
  2. Your password
  3. Your security number

Thinkmoney

You will need the following information when you link SteadyPay to your Thinkmoney account:

  1. Your Username for online banking
  2. Your email (which you registered with Thinkmoney)
  3. Your passcode
  4. Your password
